...life has taken many strange twists and turns. Some good, some bad, and some just plain crazy. What I wouldn't give for 2 weeks away at a quiet place with a gorgeous sunset and no computer.

Yes, I know...she lives.

I am going through some painful things right now...so bear with me and excuse all typos.

When my fiance and son moved in October, we were coming off a grueling 9 month process(the immigration of my Canadian fiance to the U.S.) that was the most draining, tedious, and stressful time I've ever had. Our whole relationship was dissected like it was a project or something, and put to the test. It didn't matter we'd spent 4 years together, or that we loved each other and had many future plans...because none of that mattered to the government. Our future depended on the government and let me tell you...it isn't an easy thing at all.

Once we were approved, we made the big move and had to start all over from scratch. When we got here we had to start a whole new batch of paperwork, we got married, moved into a new place, and then we all adjusted to new things, my son starting a new school, and just the general setting up of a new place. Then started the wait for my new hubby to get permission to work. It has taken 5 months for him to get his employment permission card. We're still waiting for the BIG interview, but at least he is able to work now.

During the last 5 months...I have done whatever I could to help alleviate the stress of him not working and helping to bring in some money, all the while trying to help hubby feel okay. He has always worked, and not being able to work hasn't been easy for him.

Since Friday, my mom has been in the hospital. She went from being sick to, as of yesterday, being moved to the CCU in severe critical condition. She is hooked up to over 40 tubes and a scary looking ventilator. So far she has blood clots in her lungs, her kidneys aren't working, it might be Lupus, but they are still waiting on tests, and this whole time she has been sedated, so she has been out of it since Saturday. It is all touch and go...depending on all these machines to help her improve. TO look at them is overwhelming. The doctors say they've never seen someone so sick. Right now my hubby goes to work and then we go to the hospital. All day I call and make sure she's okay. IT's painful to see her this way.

While I appreciate everyone wanting to know the status of the 3 remaining anthologies, at this time everything is on HOLD. When I put the calls out for the anthologies...I was in a different place in my life and had more time to devote to other things and other people. Right now I can't do that. My family comes first. I'm not sure what I was thinking taking on 9 anthologies in a year...but it has been tough and I've done my best to put quality time to them. I'm not interested in putting out half-edited works. Along with that came the decision to move from Cyber Pulp to Rage Machine, which really wasn't easy because I'm one of those people who give others the benefit of the doubt, and I'm loyal. It has proven to be a good move, and I'm very appreciative of GW Thomas for taking them on.

Where do things stand? I don't know. My life is about the here and now. For the next 2 weeks it will be all my energy going to my mom. This machine she is on...if she were to wake up at some point and try to breathe against it...her lungs would burst. That scares the shit out of me. At any time she can respond negatively to something they give her, drip into her, or whatever, and she dies. My mother is a wonderful and beautiful lady, very strong, my best friend, and it kills me to think I might lose her. I moved back here to be closer to my folks, and now this happens.

At the same time I am trying to help my son deal with this. I can't believe he'll be 13 soon! My mom helped me raise him when I got divorced and started working. The two of them are very close and this isn't easy on him. I'm also trying to help my dad and brother, and my hubby has always loved my mom. One thing after another...and let me tell you...a person can only handle so much stress at once. I haven't been eating or sleeping. life is a blur. When I close my eyes, I see my mom on that ventilator hooked up to all those things that look so unnatural. Her poor skin is bruised from all the places they've taken blood and put in tubes. I never thought I'd see her like that.

So as I said, while I appreciate that everyone wants their stories published...try and understand that right now things are about my family. Anthologies are on hold. Reviews are on hold. Any writing I do, it is for money. Reviews and edits I do, are for money. Articles, papers, and stories...are for money. I love to do things "for the love" but that love doesn't help my current situation. It might sound selfish, but trust me, I'm a very selfless person and those who really know me...know that to be true. Bills need to be paid. Things need to get taken care of. Our one and only car is on its deathbed. My health is not that great right now...but I honestly don't care about that because I'm too worried about my mom.

I'm proud to have put out 6 of the 9 anthologies all ready. For anyone who can't wait...do remember that all rights belong to you on these stories, so if you want to sub them out somewhere else...go for it...just check to be sure what your rights are with the other places. If you want to pull your story, just email me. I'm not in the same place I was before. Things have changed. I have a whole set of new responsibilities and obligations to deal with. I can't fathom the thought of having Mother's Day this year without my mom. My son's bday is in a couple weeks and somehow i need to find a way to not have that joyous time for him go by the wayside. The high tech machines being used on my mom are going to cost a pretty penny. If she makes it through the next couple of weeks she will still have to deal with months of constant monitoring, having a machine help her breathe, get medical help that will come to her house and take care of her properly...it will be months until she's even okay. I'm trying to keep a positive attitude through all this...but I also know that at any time something can go terribly wrong. She in very critical condition.

I don't have any answers for anyone on anything at this time.

My projects are still important to me, but I'm not going to lie, right now they aren't on my top 30 list of priorities. Will the anthos get published? Yes, of course they will. But not right now. Everyone's story means a lot to me, as do these anthos, and I think the world of each one of you. When will they get published? I don't know. I suppose when life deals me a smoother hand and I am able to devote more time to them. Where are they at this time? Mind Scraps will be out soon. It's been done and all that jazz. Vintage Moon...I may make into 2 volumes because of the length of the stories. As it stands it would cost a lot to keep it as one. I have brought Louise Bohmer on board to help with these 2 anthologies(possibly 3 if it becomes 2 volumes) and we plan to do a biannual magazine in the future, and possibly other projecst. Vintage Moon is more than half edited. Bleed My Heart Romantic...that one has not been touched. It will the one on the longest hold.

I appreciate the emails coming in that you are happy with the anthologies that have been published. I've received a lot of good reviews about them, and when I have time I'll post them here. I don't have the time right now to email everyone back. I don't like to give "I don't know" as an answer...but I don't know the answer to anything right now. I'm just trying to make it day by day. I'm thankful to have so much love and support from everyone right now.

Um, okay. So I need to call the hospital now and see how she did overnight. Then maybe I can take a nap...I hope. I'll try and write again soon.

I look for it and look for it and that takes up more time! I need more time! Sigh.

Sorry folks, another short and sweet snippet of a message. I'm busy with personal edits for 4 different publishers, along with edits for Vintage Moon and of course the usual reviews, writing, pulling my hair out, promotion, networking, you get the idea. Am working on my novel.

Good news: Private Dancer has been #1 on the paranormal best seller list of WCPT for 17 days straight now! http://www.whiskeycreekpresstorrid.com/chapters/PrivateDancer_AnnCory.shtml
Of course I'm very pleased :)

Other than that, just busy keeping busy. Hope everyone is having a great day :)

Don't anyone freak out, but this is post #2 of the week. See...I do make good on what I say. The only problem is that I don't have much to say.

:)

So umm....go buy my book. (snicker snicker)

Books on my desk to read and review in the next couple of months:

Imprint by Paul L. Bates
The Holocaust Opera by Mark Edward Hall
Vampires of the Scarlet Order by David Lee Summers

Okay, the muse is making me feel guilty here, so I better get back to work. Hope everyone has a great day!!!

My vampire erotic story Private Dancer is now available!!! Here's the link:
http://www.whiskeycreekpresstorrid.com/chapters/PrivateDancer_AnnCory.shtml

I'm really excited about this one :) It came out on the 1st and is #1 in the Paranormal section, and #2 for the hottest new titles for Whiskey Creek Press.

So, I'm going to try this LJ thing again...at least 3x's a week. I've been so insanely busy between writing and the holidays I just couldn't get on. I have lots of good things going on for the Ann Cory side of things: http://www.anncory.com with my most recent acceptance being my historical novel accepted by Samhain Publishing. It's my longest book yet...which for me is truly a feat, lol.

And a few things going on for the other me :) I had a story accepted by Chainsaw Magazine, I'm looking forward to the release of my chapbook Personal Headspace, and of course Red Scream Magazine #2 with my story "Anorotica".

Edits will go out this month and next for Vintage Moon and Bleed My Heart Romantic. So things are progressing nicely :)

Hubby and I go for our adjustment of status interview on the 11th of this month, so I'm a bit nervous. As usual it's been a long wait with the government...but we made it through the first part...we can do this part, lol. I still don't like it.

I hope everyone is doing well! Here's to a happy and successful 2006!!! I've missed you guys very much. I'm going to try really really hard to be here more often. My schedule has just been insane!

((HUGS))

I had every intention of coming on here yesterday...but was busy filling out contracts and writing up a storm. Yesterday I had three nice acceptances come into the inbox :)
First I got my poem "Part Man, Part Musk" accepted for the March issue of Justus Roux website, then I got my short erotic fantasy story Arcadia accepted by Venus Press, and then just a bit after 8pm I was surprised with a contract for my novella Promises of Patchouli for the New Year by Ocean's Mist Press!!!!
I was also informed a short story of mine is going into the next round at Clean Sheets. My fingers are crossed, I haven't ever been pubbed there before.

Let's see...the weekend was okay, I'm glad we got out on Saturday when the weather was better. We ended up running a lot of errands and poking around to places we haven't been before. Sunday was pretty fogged in but that didn't matter...we finished decorating the tree and putting up lights and stuff. Sweetie made his famous spaghetti sauce which always make the house smell sooooooooo good and then we feasted with red wine :)

Lots to do this week, reviews, edits, and promos. Received the galley for Sultry Shades of Christmas, so I need to go through those and get them back to the publisher.

*Just a heads up to contributors: I've enlisted the lovely miss Louise Bohmer to help me with the edits of Bleed My Heart Romantic and Vintage Moon. I also plan to have the two of us work together on future anthologies. However, I'm taking a little time off from them. Editing 9 anthos in 1 year has sapped me dry :)

okay, I better find a way to wake up and get to work here. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!
:)

...I'm sure isn't anymore pleasant than the rain here right now. It's a drizzle-dorf morning. Perfect weather to write to but hey, I'd still like more sunshine. And writing is taking center stage today just because I haven't been able to for most of this week. Been busy with edits, reviews, promo, and personal edits of upcoming stories. I'm getting ready for my vampire erotic book Private Dancer to come out next month. Yeah, I'm kinda excited :0)

I'm seriously out of practice with blogging.

Oh, good news :) My son got himself on the honor roll! I'm of course so thrilled and proud! It's a new school and he came into it almost 4 weeks late, but he got himself caught up and has really made an impression on the teachers. He received a certificate but now I need to find a frame...I think I decided against bringing most of the ones we had. Just couldn't fit everything. Now I'm kicking myself. Anyhow, it was most unexpected. In fact we told him to not worry about whatever he gets for his grades this first quarter...coming into a school late and all. They do some really neat things in his classes, lots of mythology stuff. He had to make a throne out of rocks and decorate it up.

I can't believe we're into December so soon. I haven't changed my calendar yet because I'm rebelling. I realize this won't do a thing, the days are just going to keep on squeaking by, but it makes me feel less overwhelmed, lol.

Today I'll be putting up more xmas decorations. And I need to find my cranberry sconce recipe...they always make the house smell so good :) Not to mention making the tummy happy :) So yeah, writing and Christmas decorating, and hopefully some baking just about make up my day today.

What the heck re you guys up to?

Waving a very quick hi :) Have been seriously busy between working, writing, editing, holidays, promotions, reviews, proofreading, and working on some exciting things to come in the new year. I haven't forgotten anyone...I promise!!!

Also waving hello to all the new people who have recently added me. Usually I'm pretty good at updating daily...but after my move things have been extra crazy. Adding promotions to my list of daily duties has sapped away any of the free time I used to have.

For those wanting to keep up with my erotic romance writing, I have a new blog at blogspot: http://anncory.blogspot.com/

In editor news:
Sultry Shades of Christmas is with the publisher, Sultry Heat and will be out next month.

Edits for Vintage Moon and Bleed My Heart Romantic will go out in December/January. The publisher has been busy with his own projects, so the rest of my anthos will be out in the new year.

My muse has been incredibly busy busting out one story after another, which feels great after not having the time to write much in August or September. I've had a slew of things accepted as of late and have finaled in some contests. To see what Ann Cory(my more sensual persona) is putting out for books, click this link: http://www.anncory.com/books.htm

I've been receiving great reviews for Mask of the Matador, Haunt Me Taunt Me, A Haunting in the Cathouse, and A Personal Assessment :) I'm very excited and proud. I also love the covers :)

Coming soon is my horror chapbook Personal Headspace. More details to follow soon!

Thanksgiving was wonderful, so nice to spend it with my folks this year :) I ate too much but that isn't new. Turkey sandwiches are about the only thing on my lunch menu this week, lol. Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend!!!

Saw Harry Potter and was very impressed by it! I thought they did a great job :) Narnia and Kong are next on my list!

To those I owe emails too...I'm working on it. If you sent me an email and are concerned I didn't get it(which you can thank YAHOO for several weeks of frustration) than resend...chances are I may not have received it.

Okay, if no one fainted due to my post...I'll try and do my best to update again tomorrow. If not tomorrow, then definitely the next day!

MUAH!!

So much to do, so much to get caught up on, so little time!!

I'm busting my butt trying to do promotions, personal edits, antho edits, reviews, reply to emails, updates on both websites, working with people, writing, and that's just the half of it. One thing I found as a very nice change...I'm not feeling quite so stressed out. Being unpacked and all moved in really helps...I made a major effort to make sure nothing is in a box at this point and it helps. When my environment is in a disarray, I'm in a disarray as well.

I really enjoy living here, it's a nice place with friendly people around, and lots of trees :) There are so many beautiful colored leaves in burnt orange, fiery reds, golds and yellows. Fall is my favorite time of year :)

We bought a Spongebob Pumpkinpants kit to dress up our pumpkin like Spongebob. It goes great with our squarish-shaped pumpkin. Couldn't pass it up at the craft store, it was on sale for $4. :)

Not too much new to report. My http://www.anncory.com Ann Cory website is all updated. Still need to work on my NJ one.
Mask of the Matador is doing well so far...it's a nice book to buy for someone who likes a sexy romance, suspense, and a hunky bullfighter ;)Click here to buy: http://www.whiskeycreekpresstorrid.com/chapters/MaskOfTheMatador_AnnCory.shtml

I have a chat tonight with Ocean's Mist Press for my other new release A Personal Assessment
http://www.oceansmistpress.com/catalog/books/apersonalassessment.htm
It will be my first chat with them, but they're all usually fun. I'll have to figure out some excerpts and stuff.

Of course Trip the Light Horrific, Dream the Dark Majestic, Travel a Time Historic, and Provocative Notes are doing well and still available!

Well, I better get my butt going here. Lots to do and it's Thursday...not sure where the time went. Hope everyone has a productive and fun day!!!!

Okay, things are starting to settle down a little bit finally. We're basically all moved in, just need to pick up a bookcase for my son's room from my parent's house and hopefully find a small dresser. BiMart has one really inexpensive-like...so it's a possibility. Things are up on the walls, clothes are put away, all boxes have been emptied, and it's feeling kinda homey. Or, at least home for a little while.

Yesterday was productive, completed some personal edits, organizing paperwork that was packed away, and getting things ready to finish up stuff for Mind Scraps so I can get that off to Rage Machine.

PROMO#1: Mask of the Matador is now available for purchase in both ebook and print form!
http://www.whiskeycreekpresstorrid.com/chapters/MaskOfTheMatador_AnnCory.shtml

This is my first Ann Cory novella, so I'm very proud of it :) Yes, I giggled like a schoolgirl when I got it in the mail and held it in my hands. I confess, I confess. It felt very, very nice. Sweetie read it and liked it a lot...along with the sweet dedication I wrote for him. It's sensual, suspenseful, and takes place in Spain.

PROMO#2: A Personal Assessment is now available for purchase in ebook form. It's my contest winning story, and a shortie...so won't take you long to read. If you're into a little girl-girl action in the workplace, this one will bring a little heat to your day. Available from Oceans Mist Press:
http://www.oceansmistpress.com/catalog/books/apersonalassessment.htm

Okay, so I really should try and get back into the groove of things.

I just got internet access late yesterday and am still trying to get through the 6,000+ emails I've got going on in my inbox. That doesn't even include the bulk mail...ACK!!!

Anyhow, all is well for now...I'll be back and all talkative next week.

Up and down the stairs...up and down the stairs. No sleep and man I ache! But hell...I love it at the same time :)
We are down to the last wire here...only a couple more days to pack up and clean before we head out. It's kinda surreal right now. I'll just be glad when it's all done. Still working on that place to live thing (silent screams).

Good news: My horror flash story Pieces of Eight was accepted for Project Contagion, edited by Dustin La Valley & Mark Sullivan. That made for some wonderful news during my break between packing and cleaning. I think it actually gave me a good shot of adrenaline to keep me going! :)

If anyone is interested in reviewing Trip the Light Horrific, Dream the Dark Majestic, or Travel a Time Historic, please drop me a line at: coryann93atyahoo.com and I'll hook you up. Just tell me which one strikes your fancy and I'll send over the PDF copy asap!!! It's not a rush thing since I'll obviously be away from the computer for a bit...but I'd appreciate it.

Okay, not much else to report for now...off to battle boxes and dust bunnies!!!

Hi everyone...days later and yes, I'm still happy dancing. I'm also not sleeping, but hey...running on adrenaline, what can I say. Thank you sooooooooooooooooo much for all your comments and well wishes on my last post. It made for a fantastic and exciting time :)
We received our "take when you cross the border" package and my sweetie got his visa back with the big K-1 visa stamp on it. SO of course we had to celebrate again :) All systems go!

Friday is it...our last night here. We've been scrambling like mad to get things done, get the cats to the vet, both the couch and TV are sold, and we've been cleaning like fools. So much to do in a short period of time. I think I found us a temporary place...nothing permanent...but close to a good school so that was my main concern.

I've had lots of good news lately. I had three acceptances over the last few days: Snowbound, Haunt Me Taunt Me and Spirit of Christmas. So that was nice news to add and more to dance about!

Trip the Light Horrific has been climbing up the ratings again, it's up another 2 to 36. I've had tons of emails back on this anthology, they like the range of stories, and everyone comments about Jeff Strand's foreward. That first line is a killer. http://www.lulu.com/content/159245

Dream the Dark Majestic got a very nice review and when I get situated in Oregon I'll be able to start posting reviews. http://www.lulu.com/content/157008

Good news for Mind Scraps. I asked Michael Arnzen if he'd like to write a foreward and add a story and he said he'd be happy to. Yep, that made my day :) It won't be out until the end of October...early November latest.

Provocative Notes is now out in print as well as in ebook. Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1897217153/qid=1127837351/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-2533725-6557625?v=glance&s=books&n=507846

That's right...I bought myself a Canadian :)

After 9 months of absolute stress, torture, and impatience...we got our answer that my sweetheart has his visa and is free to move to the states with me so we can get married and move forward with our future :) I was so ecstatic I did the butt wiggle dance!!! I told the guy who approved us I'd hug him if I could :) He was behind a bulletproof window, so I couldn't, but he laughed. I am so relieved to be done with this part!!!

As of OCTOBER 1st we'll be on the road to move to my beautiful homestate of Oregon!!! I have missed it! Okay yes, I was there for Christmas, but this time it's a one-way ticket :) I get to have my birthday in Oregon!!! :)

We'll be doing the justice of the peace thing for paperwork formalities and getting him his green card. The place that wants to hire him is anxious for him to start and will do what they can to speed up the process. He's already been offered a nice pay and position.

Then it's getting situated in the new place, new school, new job, and planning our handfast for the spring.

So, for the next 8 days it will be tying up all lose ends, final packing, figuring out where we're going to move, figure out the school, and it's going to be crazy hectic. But I'll tell you...everything from here on out will be a piece of cake. I'm so glad that part is all over with, lol.

Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments and posts, e-cards and emails wishing me good luck, the pictures and jokes you sent over, and all the support. I swear it just helped like you wouldn't believe.

I might need one later if I start to hyperventilate or have a panic attack. (Just breathe).
We did find out it will only be a 7.5 hour drive to Montreal rather than the 12 hours we were originally told. That makes a HUGE difference in what time we need to get up and stuff. Last night we spent hours anally organizing our paperwork into an accordian folder, making sure we had copies of everything and going through our cards, emails, and photos that we hadn't looked at for a long time.

Good news:
* I got my story "Crushed" accepted into Shadows in the Night Magazine
* Provocative Notes edited by yours truly, is currently available at Fictionwise: http://www.fictionwise.com/ebooks/eBook33772.htm
(beauty of a cover, eh?) It will be available in print at Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, and other fine bookstores on Friday. Delve into eleven stories where the theme is a musical interlude. Authors include:
Andrea Dean Van Scoyoc, Beth Ann Rowlands, Gwen Masters, Daniel R Robichaud II, Susanne S. Bridenbaugh, Jean Roberta, Kevin Miller, Jude Mason, Harriet Scott, Lynne den Hartog, and Susan M. Sailors.

Okay, I have a million and one things to do today, most of all stress out, so I better get to them. I will be back on Friday morning with either the most excellent news ever, where I'm chair dancing, singing at the top of my lungs, and doing a good butt wiggle OR ... you won't hear back from me. Yep, if you don't hear back from me, it's because I'm in the throes of utter devastation and despair and no one will be able to pull me out of it. Life will cease to exist as I know it and my bleak future will be no more.

The weekend was stress-free. We celebrated our 5th anniversary of being together in Niagara Falls and it was wonderful, the weather was amazing, and the time was special. We went to all our favorite wineries, had fabulous meals and lots of wine. The samples of wine are getting larger, along with the tasting fees...which both can be a problem. If you sample a flight of reds at one place, your palate is pretty much toast for a good chunk of time, unless they serve crackers which does help. Still, a flight of wines used to be 4 different wine samples that would equal about a full glass of wine. Now I swear it was like having 2 glasses of wine. When you have 10 wineries you would like to visit...you now run the risk of being seriously drunk before you finish. Plus before tasting fees were just a little change unless you bought a bottle. Now it's more expensive. We also bummed around Niagara Falls, getting soaked by the mist, playing mini golf in the Dinosaur Park, went to the Hershey store and Coca Cola store. I wanted to go in the cheesy haunted house, but my son and sweetie didn't, so I was a good sport and didn't go. I didn't want to go alone, lol.

Once we got home around 6pm on Sunday, it was a mad rush to unpack the car, write up a grocery list, go to the store, go to Staples for an accordian folder I wanted(for interview) and put more gas in the car. Damn if we didn't spend a fortune on gas!!! Our move is going to be atrocious!

So, Wednesday we leave for Montreal. EEK!!! We have everything we need, copies of everything, and a mound of "yes, we've known each other for 5 years" for evidence. Thursday is THE DAY.

Trip the Light Horrific is climbing on the top 100 list...it's gone from 58 where it debuted to now sitting pretty at 38...that's pretty good for not even a full 2 weeks! It's truly a fun read, I'm sending out PDF's for those who do reviews. I'd do the actual book, but right now my copies are sitting in Oregon, so I haven't even seen them. To buy your copy of horror with a twist of humor stories, along with a hilarious foreward by the king of the genre himself: Jeff Strand, go here: http://www.lulu.com/content/159245

Also available are Dream the Dark Majestic http://www.lulu.com/content/157008
and Travel a Time Historic http://www.lulu.com/content/161638.
Dream the Dark is a collection of dark fiction/fantasy stories that really hit somewhere between a dream and a nightmare. Travel a Time is an assortments of Sci-fi, horror, and fantasy stories that take you to a completely different realm.

Okay, I better get to work. I have a ton of crap to get done before we leave ULTRA EARLY on Wednesday morning. I need all the positive vibes I can get this week!!!!

I was up way too late last night and am seriously tired today. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Deadlines. You gotta love 'em.

The car is officially sold and the couple picked it up last night. YAY! Sweetie and I shared a nice bottle of red wine to celebrate selling it. There's nothing like feeling a large wad of cash in your hand. For a moment anyways. It all goes to moving expenses, which thanks to the prices of gas will be more expensive than our trip out for Christmas. Now to get rid of the rest of the furniture.

Countdowns for September:
1 day until our 5th year anniversary
2 days until we go to Niagara Falls and eat a yummy, scrumptious dinner at our favorite vineyard winery
6 days until we drive to Montreal
7 days until THE INTERVIEW
14 days until we move
And all 14 days I WILL BE STRESSED OUT :/
18/19 days until we're in Oregon!!!

I'll be finishing up edits for Mind Scraps this week so everyone should either hear or have heard from me.

Trip the Light Horrific is doing very well on the ratings! It has only been out a week but it debuted at #58 out of 100 and in just a few days has climbed to #43, so I'm excited :)

Horrifically Humorous
Comically Creepy
Frighteningly Funny

If you like a little humor with your horror, you’ve come to the right place. Inside the pages of Trip the Light Horrific are some of the most TERRORific literary comedians you’ll ever find.

Looking for strange monsters, sinister pet rocks, crazy cockroaches? How about horses, cats, and pigs gone wild? Bet you always wondered what lurked beyond the buildings and fields just outside your window. From subtle to morbid, sarcastic to hysterical, sinister to disturbing, there’s something to be said about shedding a little light on the dark crevices of the mind. Jeff Strand also delivers a WICKED FOREWARD that will leave you with your mouth hanging open.

Disclaimer: No one from this anthology takes any responsibility for paper cuts, eye- strain, choking on gum or any other accidents that should befall the readers, though we would love to hear from you to get a good laugh out of it and possibly use as future material.

Those responsible for splitting your sides include:
Jeff Strand, John Edward Lawson, Perry McGee, Ray Wallace, Darren Franz, MF Korn, Mike Philbin, David Greske, Cathy Buburuz, Glen Alan Hamilton, Steve Lockley, Lee Zumpe, James Foster, Bruce Holland Rogers, John L. Probert, Aurelio Rico Lopez III, Kristine Ong Muslim, Karl Koweski, Ken Goldman, Pasquale J. Morrone, Paul Bates, Keith Gouveia, Leila Edie, Julie Shiel, Edward W. Myers, Ed Cowell, Kevin Anderson, Vania Cao, Norman A. Rubin, and Joshua Scribner.

Okay, much work to do today!!! LOVE U GUYS!!!

In for a quick bit this morning...lots to do.

Good news...we finally sold the car! YAY! The guy will come pick it up tonight. What a relief! My son's bed just sold and it will be picked up Friday night. Our bed is bought, however they don't want it until the end of the month...so that's cool.

I can't believe next month at this time we'll be on the road, headed to Montreal. Yesterday I spent 2 hours going through all our paperwork...just to make sure we have it all. We have everything they're asking for plus a crapload of proof we've been together as long as we have. Plane tickets, phone calls, old emails, cards, letters with postmarks, current mail, pictures...everything.

Sweetie got a call from the place that wants to hire him in Oregon and they are getting anxious. They want him to start like yesterday, lol.

Let's see...other news. I'm almost done with Mind Scraps, which will be the last one I edit until I'm back in Oregon. The rest of the month is crunch time and looking for somewhere to live. It's not easy finding a place over the internet. Anyone done that with some success? I know which school I prefer for my son, it's the only one that offers performance art and my son loves that kind of thing.

Okay, well I should really get back to work, lots of it to do :)

Waving hi and bye!!

Hi everyone! Waving to old friends and new :) Last week was sheer craziness with getting ready for the garage sale. We didn't do too bad, though we still have a lot of things left. We'll probably have another garage sale in 2 weeks.
All last week was cleaning up the garage, going through all cupboards, closets, boxes, drawers, and rooms to either toss out, donate, recycle, pack, or sell in the garage sale.

This week is all about edits, reviews, writing, and some packing, though a little less...just to give my aching back a break and not screw up the progress of my thyroid condition.

Good news: I had an erotic Christmas story accepted by Extasy Books and an erotic vampire story accepted by Chippewa Publishing. It feels really good. I still need to edit another 3 stories to send those off for themed issues...and then it's back to work on several half-started novellas/novels.

I also need to look over the galleys of Mask of the Matador, which comes out next month!

10 days to interview. (just breathe)
